I've watched so many friends fight bravely against cancer, I can't help but be inspired by their courage and comforted by the sovereignty of God. I've also witnessed the fear and heartbreak associated with this terrible disease. By shaving my head, I am doing what little bit I can to help prevent future heartbreaks. With this simple act I will be able to donate my hair to Locks of Love, raise money for research and create opportunities to talk to others, both friends and strangers about childhood cancer. I'm sure I will be getting lots of questions after the event! I want to shave my head now when my loved ones and I are healthy so that hopefully, I will never have to watch my child fight this disease.
I am having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
