I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm cutting my hair for Alice, for kids who will grow to be like Alice, for kids who are Alice right now. Alice was my Nana's best friend. They raised their kids together Nd coached together. They shared their lives with their kids and grand kids for laughs and lessons. One day we got the call, Alice had cancer. It was not a lesson that Alice was able to live to teach us. She passed away my seventh grade year. Then I could do nothing, but now I can. Alice had always loved my hair. For a girl who was uncomfortable with her bright red hair, Alice's recognition meant the world. With cancer Alice lost her hair, she always said how she wanted mine. When she was put to rest she wore a red haired wig. Now, I'm cutting my hair for Alice.
