I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cuttin' It Close For John

Last March, 15, 2012 I stood in solidarity with children fighting cancer and shaved my head, then donated 14" of hair to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths program. My good friend Jen, also shaved her head and donated 14" hair too! Our 2 person team, "Bald Mom's Rock" raised almost $3,000 for cancer research last year!! This year, I'm volunteering at a St. Baldrick's head shaving event in honor of John McElligot, who lost his battle with neuroblastoma in 2004. John's younger sister, was a softball teammate of my oldest, Camryn, last year. Other than John & the McElligot family, I have not personally known any one that has had a child stricken with cancer. With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity, funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government.!! Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you from the bottom of my heart <3, Marty Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
