I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
I am shaving this year in Memoriam of Devon LaPrade. Devon was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma in May of 2011. Devon loved sports, his go cart, his puppy Athena, and of course his family. Devon lost his battle in December of 2012, he was only 15. My mom works with Devon's Aunt Jen. I wanted his family to know that even though I never met Devon, I want to help keep his memory alive. That is why I want to raise as much money as I can for St. Baldrick's. My hope is that with funding and awareness, another family will not lose their Superman.br />
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.
My family has lost too many people to cancer. We have survivors too, and also people still fighting the good fight against this terrible disease. Please help me assist them in fighting cancer. Thank you!
