I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

If you wish your Donations to Stay in Bermuda, please donate via the P.A.L.S. website. http://www.pals.bm/donations.htm Then just follow the simple online donation instructions & select St Baldrick's from the drop down list then you can type in my Name Simon "Stubby" Carruthers. If you just want to make a donation for this great cause & aren't fussed where the funds end up the use the St Baldrick's Website page you are currently on!!!! Now entering 2013.............. it is unbelievable the amount of close friends & family we still lose "DAILY" to all forms of Cancer. My first memory of Cancer affecting our family, was when my Nana passed away nearly 30yrs ago. Since then, there have been far to many family & friends to have fought this disease in vain, included my best friend Gregor MacQueen who passed away back in August 2005. Since then, I have lost my mother 2yrs ago to Cancer & my Father in-law sadly last year. My wife Margaret & I now have two beautiful sons, Luke & Owen. The youngest of which Luke was only born on 28th Dec 2012. His Big brother Owen was born on 3rd August 2010 just 4 days before Mum died, since Owen's birth I have been growing my hair ( which at 40+ is quite the achievement) with the aim of raising money for a great cause!! So on 15th March 2013 please help my raise my fundraising Target & help me celebrate nearly 3 yrs without a Haircut!!!

Why am I having my head shaved?

To stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research!

Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure.

To support me on behalf of these very special kids, please click "Make a Donation" above, or donate by mail or phone.
Thank you for your support!
