I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Space Monkeys

"Like a monkey, ready to be shot into space! A space monkey, ready to sacrifice himself for the greater good! From now on, all those with shaved heads: Space Monkeys." -Tyler Durden, "Fight Club"

I am ready to sacrifice myself for the greater good. Or at least I'm willing to sacrifice my hair again.

As I have for the last five years and as my stepson Timmer has done the last two, we will be getting our heads shaved to raise money and awareness for St. Baldrick's Foundation, which researches pediatric cancer. We will be doing this on Thursday, March 12, 2013 at LaGrange's very own Palmer Place. Our last haircuts were in 2012 just to have more to shave off. That's how committed we are - want to show your commitment?

How you can help: -Raise Money: ask people for a few bucks (click on "Participate" from the "Participants" drop-down menu). -Give Money: there is no small donation (click on "Make a Donation"). -Shave Your Head: find an event near you and get a free haircut (click on "Events" near the top of that page). -Spread the Word: tell people what we're doing, simple as that.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
