I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tara's Team

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tara's Team

As you may know, we lost our daughter on December 30, 2012. Tara did not lose her battle with cancer. She fought with courage, grace and dignity. When the fight was over God took her by the hand and brought her home. Tara was the toughest young lady that we have ever known.

Tara was first diagnosed with cancer in October 2009. She did not let cancer make the rules. She fought this disease on her terms; graduating with her class, going to college and doing what all teenagers should do, “Have fun” whenever possible.

cancer is a devastating disease. The treatments are absolutely brutal and the side effects are torturous. And many kids, such as Tara, do not make it.

We worked with many great Doctors and nurses who dedicate their lives to helping kids with cancer.

On March 23rd Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin will be hosting St. Baldrick’s foundation to raise money for the fight against childhood cancer. I am going to have my head shaved again (4th year) to raise money for St. Baldrick’s. I am asking for your donation to help find a cure for this horrible disease. Anything you donate will be greatly appreciated. Of course you are invited to come out and watch or participate if you wish.

No child should ever have to go through cancer and its treatments. Your donation will aid in the research needed to find the cure for childhood cancer.

This year’s event has a very special meaning to all of us. Our team this year is “TARA’S TEAM”.

Thank you very much,
