I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Julian's Army

This will be my sixth year shaving my head for the St. Baldricks Foundation, the world's fastest growing volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefiting childhood cancer research…

This year is very special for me, because I am participating as a member of “Team Julian” in Oswego, New York. Julian is one of the children I honored on my page last year; he was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma on August 4, 2011 at the age of 6. Since then, he has undergone more medical procedures than I could even imagine having to endure…

Last summer, Julian’s parents received the devastating news that his cancer had spread to his spine and was incurable. Due to the extent the cancer had progressed, he was not eligible for the standard antibody treatment that would be given, but he was placed into a study group for an experimental treatment that is working wonders so far…

That is why St. Baldrick’s volunteers shave their heads every year - to fund research that finds treatments like those helping Julian and children like him. My goal is to raise at least $1500 this year, meet Julian in person, and have him shave my head!

Our economy may be hurting and our taxes may be going up, but Julian and thousands of children like him are depending on us to step up and help find a cure for cancer, a cure that will let them live a long and happy life!

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail!
