I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Be Braves

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Be Braves

I am keeping a promise I made to my nephew Joey 2 years ago. He was an honored kid at the 2011 event and I watched while he and his sister got the clippers and shaved off my daughters hair. I promised him that he would be holding the clippers to my head the next time the Shave for the Brave happened. Unfortunately, Joey won't be the one holding the clippers because he passed away in April of 2012. Even though he won't be with me physically I know that his spirit with be there and he would be proud of what I'm doing!

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
