I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Jackson's Fight
Hello Everyone,
Thanks for checking out my page! Well it's that time of year again to shave my head for cancer research! For all that don't know my wife and i received the worst news any parent could receive last year in Feb. Our 2 year son Jackson was diagnosed with (ALL) leukemia. This was one thing that we had never even thought would happen to our kids and to be quite honest we didn't even know what ALL leukemia was! So when they told us we were floored, but thankful for the doctors at John Hopkins due to they really treated us like family and explained each step that was going to take place and what each drug was going to do to Jackson! The one thing that will stand out in my mind is what Dr.Small told us " THE KEY TO ALL OF THIS IS INFORMATION AND WITHOUT IT WE ALL WILL BE LOST" So with that one comment my wife and i stuck our noses in books and packets that they gave us to read! And to our surprise he was right we would have been lost! So on to the good stuff Jackson is just about through he first year of treatment and is doing wonderful! There has been a couple of bumps in the road but all in all he is truely a superhero! But the bumps in the road is why we need to raise as much as we can for research! The drugs that are given to all these kids does what it is intended to due but the side effects are terrible! So all the money that is raised goes straight to cancer research to help find a cure and better drugs until a cure is found! SO PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT AND MAKE A DONATION! NOT FOR ME BUT CHILDREN EVERYWHERE GOING THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE DISEASE!
