I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Congregation Beth Sholom Chevra Shas

During the last three years I have been touched by my boys (including Mike) and close woman friends who have shaved their heads at the St. Baldrick’s shaving event to raise money for pediatric cancer research. With cancer being the #1 killer of children in the U.S. and Canada, and as a mother of four precious children, I feel compelled to join in the effort of raising money for this cause. Since learning of St. Baldrick’s in 2009, I’ve often pondered about the implications of having cancer. I cannot fathom what children with cancer and their families go through in their struggle for life. The challenge of an unknown future, physically feeling sick, the ramifications of both sickness and treatments, are all so strenuous. In a quest to help ease their journey and increase their chances of survival, I am committing myself to shaving (and donating) my hair on March 3rd, with Guy and Gil, at the St. Baldrick’s yearly shaving event.
