I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tulane SOM Class of 2011

Hello! Thanks for coming to my page. This semester in med school I'm participating in a fund raising event - shaving our heads for kids with cancer. [Disclaimer: I'm not actually shaving my head, but actively part of the St. Baldrick's Volunteer crew, and have been volunteering lots of time and will be there cheering the other brave souls on on the 18th! I hope to raise money for this great cause, as a volunteer.] The charity is St. Baldrick's, and the money goes towards research for childhood cancers. The way we are raising money is by getting our friends and family to sponsor us to do it. Right now, many of my classmates are shaving on March 18th, and we're hoping this is one way we can make a difference. Last year students were able to raise over $63,000 and this year the goal is to raise even more. Tulane has received research grants from St. Baldricks the last couple years, so our efforts end up helping our own community! I'd love to have your support - please feel free to give any amount you'd like. My goal is to get every person I know to give at least $1, so I can say that I managed to reach as many people as possible. This is a fantastic charity that really is making a difference, and I want to spread the word. Please feel free to forward info about this cause to anyone else, or join in on the shaving if you like. (There are events in almost every state.) Thanks in advance for your support!
