Thank you for visiting my site. My name is Peter Gryga and I am a freshman on the Plattsburgh State lacrose team. Seven years ago my sister passed away after her battle with cancer. After this, I realized that people don't deserve to have a loved one be diagnosed with cancer and then pass away. As of now there is nothing we can do but just stand by their side, watch, and pray. St. Baldrick's event is helping raise money so we can find a cure to end it. So we don't have to just stand by and watch. So people don't need to worry if they are going to live to see the sun rise tomorrow.
On October 12th, I will have my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
