I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This was my 7th year, being involved, shaving heads and hearing all the stories of the families and the children going through this has really touched my heart! I remember a few years ago when colleen (our emcee) talked about us being the lucky ones...She is so right!! we are lucky to still be here, alive, healthy, and with all our hair!! I believe we have all been touched in some way with cancer, weather it be a family member, friend, co-worker, friend of a friend, or child we all have seen or felt the pain in our hearts that cancer causes, I am not a hero... The children that have to go through all the chemo and other things associated with cancer are the TRUE HEROES!! hearing the stories every year I see how strong the kids, and their families are and I am honored to be a part of St Baldricks! If shaving my head could give me just a 1/4 of the strength these children have, I will be lucky!! 3 years ago I decided that on my 7th year of volunteering, when I am Knighted into the Knights of the Bald Table, that I would shave as well... So here I am!!! I have really grown a passion for St Baldricks and am happy to get more and more involved each year!!! This is an amazing event and charity and I am very humbled and honored to be a part part of it each year!!. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
