I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you! Please help me raise money for this worthwhile cause. This is the second year I will having my head (and, if over $700 is pledged, my mustache) shaved. Last year, Kathleen said my bald head was not too bad, but seeing my naked upper lip was very creepy. Our good neighbors, Tim and Patty Sparks, brought over a pack of fake mustaches.
The event is fun, but I learned that no drug company wants to develop new cancer drugs for use in kids. Why? Not enough money to be made helping save kids. It is up to us then.
Thanks for your generosity.
