After maintaining my glorious mullet since the fab '80s, I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. OK, I don't really have a mullet, but I'm serious about helping kids with cancer and money for cancer research. In fact, I'm trying my hardest to grow some hair so there's something to shave off!
We are all touched by this insidious disease in some way, and currently my dad, Ron McGill, is fighting prostate cancer, and a sweet young boy who is a friend of my family, Julian Haas, is battling Heptoblastoma. They are both winning the war so far, so pray for their continued progress, but wouldn't it be great if we could defeat cancer for everyone?!
Please support this great cause with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to everyone fighting cancers, especially the youngest among us. It's easy to help, just click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
Any amount, large or small, is sincerely appreciated.
