I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Discovery Bay Kojaks

Why am I having my head shaved? To stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, who typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I'm doing it to raise funds for childhood cancer research!
A few weeks ago, just before her 8th birthday, our friend Mia was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor. The past few months have been a whirlwind with ups and downs, but one thing that continues to amaze me is Mia's spirit and fight. She had surgery in February to have the main tumor removed, and continues chemotherapy to treat the remaining tumors. She has been an inspiration to our entire community and we will be there for her as she continues the fight!

Worldwide, more than 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. We must all do everything we can to give kids a better chance for a cure.
