A few weeks ago, a dear friend of ours son had to be taken to the doctor because of a recurring bloody nose. They went into the doctor's office for what they thought was a routine test.
At around midnight that night, an urgent phone call came from the doctor's office to take the boy to the hospital immediately - he had been diagnosed with leukemia.
After multiple tests, and hope that they had caugth the cancer early, it was found that a bone marrow transplant is required to save his life.
At that point, I knew that I had to sign up again for this great cause and do what I can to help fight children's cancer to support our friends, and the fact that this can happen to any of our chlidren, and this is something worth fighting for.
I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with not only our friends child, but all kids fighting cancer, and more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
