In July of 2011, an incident rocked one of my coworkers like nothing you could imagine. During a routine checkup for their 2 year old daughter, they found that she had a acute case of Leukemia, known as AML M7 Leukemia. For almost 6 straight months, Scarlett McGraw endured some of the most horrendous experiences that any human being, let alone a 2 year old, should endure. Her family spent many sleepless nights at Johns Hopkins wondering if they would ever have their little girl back again.
Fortunately through the miracles of advanced medicine and faith in God, Scarlett was able to spend Christmas at home with her 4 year old brother and the rest of her family. It’s still going to be an uphill battle for the McGraw family, but they’ve got a lot of support.
In order to show my support for this fight and cause, I’m participating in a fund raising event whereby I’m doing away with my lovely locks. What little hair I do have will be gone, and more than likely will be replaced with a very regal mustache….. I’m asking for your support to at least familiarize yourself with this story and if you feel so inclined make a donation. I’ve set a very modest goal which I don’t think it’ll be hard to reach, double and then potentially triple. Please help me in my fight and support of a great cause.
