I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: It's a beautiful weekend to get buzzed!

"Oh, man, you work in pediatric oncology? That must be so sad!" My response to the people who say this to me is always the same - sure, we have some sad times. But we have more wins than losses, and more laughter than tears. I have worked on the oncology unit at Dell Children's for 4 years, and every year I meet incredible children and families fighting cancer. We have parties, play games, watch movies, tickle, laugh and color. We get so involved with these amazing children and their families that they become old friends, our own little family... which makes it that much harder and more heartbreaking when we DO lose those battles. I participate in St. Baldrick's because I hate losing these battles! Every year we lose children that are important to me, and this is my way of raising money for the research that will one day stop these losses from happening. Please help support me, and help support my kiddos! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Thank you!
