I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Ariel

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Ariel

One of my biggest heroes in life is a 13 year old girl that I only have met a small handful of times, but the stories of her that are told humorously at times and lovingly by her Mother have provided extraordinary wisdom and insight into the world. This young lady is the very kind I want running the world in the winter of my life, but she is sick. With this cruel and merciless disease racking her little body with misery that I cannot and do not want to imagine, her mind is focused and her heart is....well there are no words. The family calls her Lion Heart and even that comes up short. She is a FORCE! To illustrate, I have provided a quote from just a few days ago.

I Don’t Want To Give Up….

These are the words my daughter choked out to her oncologist from her hospital bed last night.

“I Don’t Want To Give Up!”.

I never knew it was possible to convey so much in 6 words, yet when Ariel spoke them, tears sliding down her cheeks, you could feel the pain, the fear, the determination, the injustice, and the innocence of a child all swirling in that one simple sentence.

“I Don’t Want To Give Up!”

So you see, this is more than just helping kids with cancer. This is securing our future!

To help secure our future, I'm a volunteer with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Please support me! With head-shaving and other fundraising events, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
