GUESS WHAT?? After watching (and supporting and admiring) friends and family who have participated in St. Baldrick’s in the past, I’ve decided that this year it is my turn! So, on March 20th I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and their families, and to help raise money to find cures.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation has raised an incredible $117M through nearly 200,000 volunteers since its founding in 2000. In fact, this volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
After this past year, now having some idea of how challenging cancer treatment can be, I can’t even begin to imagine how tough this would be for a kid or a parent of that kid. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids and their families.
If you are able and so inclined, it would be great if you would make a donation - there is literally no amount that is too small… or too big! If you can’t donate, don’t forget that an “Atta Girl!” would be swell as well – especially as I get closer to the shave date (and might be freaking out just a bit).
Click "Make a donation" to give online using a credit card or call to make a donation over the phone (1-888-899-2253). You can also download and print a form from this page and mail your check directly to St. Baldrick's.
And thanks for supporting my effort to raise money for St. Baldrick’s this year
J.
