I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello everyone...this is Tammy. I have been trying to get Kyle to cut his hair for the last 6 months and he has refused. Ronnie and I pick our battles with Kyle, as most parents of autistic children do, so getting him to cut his hair is nothing that we were willing to fight over. Also, the nurses kept telling him that they loved his hair so there was NO WAY he was going to get it cut. However, he came to me last week on his own and said "mom, I am going to shave my head for all of the children that have cancer on February 25th for the St. Baldrick's Foundation." As many of you know, Kyle has been very sick since October so he spent a lot of time at the UNC Children's Hospital where he saw first hand the children that are diagnosed with such a devastating illness. My son has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. He may be quirky, antisocial, have anxiety disorder, suffer from sensory integration issues, try my patience EVERY single day of our lives, but he is an AMAZING young man and I would not change a single hair on his head except for THIS EVENT!!! Please consider lending your support to Kyle and the St. Baldrick's Foundation by making a monetary donation. NO amount is too small. Thank you so much for your support.
