I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Donna's Good Things

Shaving my head at exactly 3:15pm on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 to stand in solidarity with kids I know who are fighting cancer: Shea, Zen, Rosie, Menucha, Jake, and so many others, but more importantly, to raise money to improve cancer treatments for children and to find cures. This is all in honor of my dance student Donna. Please sponsor with a donation of $10+ to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, and join Donna’s Good Things as we gather to do good things in her memory. Instead of a financial target, I am aiming to have at least one sponsor a day until the event. Some other shavees have raised $5-15K. Not sure I can do that. So instead of a certain monetary goal, I'm aiming for awareness of childhood cancer and to have as many friends as possible involved. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Childhood cancers are sickeningly underfunded as high-profile adult cancers receive most research funding. To support, click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail. Help the St. Baldricks’s Foundation continue to do good things!
