I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp Global Team

NetApp’s 2012 St. Baldrick’s Team – Save a Kid, Shave a Cowboy Dear Family, Friends, Partners, Customers and Co-Workers: About 6 years ago, the NetApp office in New York started what has become a worldwide phenomenon. Last year, more than twenty NetApp offices gathered together in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives. Donors support individual “shavees” who have agreed to shave their head in support of St. Baldrick’s in order to raise contributions. Here are the statistics from 2011: • NetApp is the largest corporate donor to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, generating over $1,000,000 in donations. • The NetApp Dallas office generated over $35,000 in donations in support of two dozen shavees. • I personally raised over $3,500 in donations thanks to my supporters. Here is a link to the videos on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3FksYAc5R8 & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lpnfxklzyc I am once again teaming up with other NetApp employees around the world to raise money for St. Baldrick's. My goal this year is to raise $4000. The event will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, March 22nd at Sherlock’s Baker Street Pub in Addison. Family, friends, and partners of NetApp are encouraged and welcomed to attend. Food and drinks will be provided along with some good laughs. Please consider making a donation on my behalf in support of this worthwhile cause. http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/510955/2012 If you find yourself bold enough to join our group and go bald for the cause – please reach out to either myself or Amanda Martin (amanda.martin@netapp.com) and she will set you up. Thanks for your support, and feel please join us on the 22nd for a great time. ED
