For those of you that know me well, my hair is something I hold near and dear. Much of this stems from the fact that my head looks quite odd when it's bare, but my small vanity is irrelevant compared to the battles that these young children with cancer face. My grandfather passed away from cancer when I was very young, leaving my grandmother a widow, and my father and his 4 siblings, fatherless. As a brother to a beautiful 1st grade sister and with the hopes of being a future father, I believe the battle against childhood cancer is long and expensive, but it's the one we can impact and shorten! It takes the brightest minds in the world to come up with the solutions to these diseases, and your donation funds this childhood cancer research. John W. Whitehead once said, "Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see." I want these children to one day be able to embrace the same simple opportunities that most of us now consider normalities, and it starts with your support.
