My sons, Jack (12) and Evan (10), and I are having our heads shaved as members of Pat Mac's Pack to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Earlier this year my sons lost a schoolmate, Patrick McNamara, an 8th grader, to an 11-year battle with cancer. Pat was a truly remarkable young man. He is depicted in some of the attached photos taken at last year’s event. With all Pat went through his spirit never wavered. He brought joy to all who knew him until the moment he said his final good bye (I mean, “see you later”). So our school community is honoring his memory through participation in the St. Baldrick’s event and with many other activities throughout the year. Please support us as we honor Pat's with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation-Pat Mac's Pack. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
