I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Ty

My name is Lauren and I am Ethan's wife and Ty's mommy. My world was forever changed on January 4, 2011 when my baby boy was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, I've realized how underfunded childhood cancer research is and how little awareness childhood cancer gets. It is my mission in life now to help change that. Even though, at this time, Ty doesn't understand why he has lost his hair 2 times, he will one day and there are MANY other children who do understand and who didn't have a choice. I will shave my head not only in honor of Ty, but for all the children who have lost their hair battling this monster. If by shaving my head it helps to raise money for childhood cancer research or helps to raise awareness, or if it brings a smile to the face of a child with cancer when they receive a wig that was partially made out of my hair, then it is totally worth it. I proudly choose to shave my head not only in honor of my son, but for all the other cancer warriors! Please help to fund critical childhood cancer research by donating to St. Baldricks! Thank you!
