I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Dilts

Hello Everyone,

The past couple of years, a couple buddies of mine (Gary and Art Timpe) have had their head shaved to help raise funds to fight childhood cancer. While I have always supported them by making a donation to St. Baldrick’s on their behalf, last year I thought I could do more.

So this year, I am getting my head shaved alongside both of them as a member of Team Dilts. We are raising funds in honor of Gary’s cousin, Eli Dilts. Eli has been fighting brain cancer. Over the course of this past year, he has beaten it and is living the life that every kid should have the chance to live!

Team Dilts is also raising funds to salute a lost hero, Ironman Mike Wasner. This past year Iron Mike went through two rounds of chemo and had a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, that was not enough to fight off the Leukemia that eventually took Iron Mike away from us.

Please consider giving a donation to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to help fund continued research to cure this nasty disease. St. Baldrick’s is the number one funder of childhood cancer research after the federal government. And we all know the current financial condition of the federal government, so needless to say their funding for research is on the decline. But only 4% of federal cancer research funding goes toward childhood cancer research and recent information from the National Institute of Health indicates childhood cancer funding is at its lowest point in history with only 18% of approved research projects receiving funding. And this is while childhood cancer kills more kids each year than any other disease.

Thank you in advance for your donation. Let’s put an end to cancer once and for all!

Randy
