I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Greenlawn Fire Department

Since I last shaved my head for Saint Baldricks in 2008, I have had cancer touch my life again. Everyone on the planet will know someone with cancer at some point in their lives. Most devastating is when it's our children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren. Kids. Battling cancer. Seems pretty unfair to me, and it should seem just as unfair to you. Help me in my mission to fund cure finding research! As with the last time I shave my head in 2008, I am shaving this time out of gratefulness for having 4 healthy children and a healthy granddaughter. I am so thankful for their health, and it pains me to know that there are other children fighting every single day for their very lives. As for their parents, to watch your child struggle in such a way must be more heartwrenching than I can imagine.

I hope by shaving my head this year again, we can get closer to finally curing so many childhood cancers that effect so many. If you don't know someone now, you will eventually. Browse the profiles on this website of the children who are counting on all of us so desperately, and those that lost their fight while waiting. Please help by donating and making this fundraiser a success FOR THEM!
