Can you believe it is year number 5? Over the years we have worked together and raised over $10,000. What an amazing achievement! Thank you all so much for your contributions and commitment to this cause. This year I am having my head shaved in memory of my co-worker's nephew, Charles Fields-Colbert. Charles was born 7/26/1995 and died at the age of 12, from osteosarcoma. He was a fun kid and full of life, despite the fact that he began his fight against cancer at 2 1/2 years of age. He loved video games, airsoft guns, and eating.
My little guys are now 4 and 2. They are full of energy and curiosity and enjoy exploring the world and living life. The thought that any child has to experience a battle with cancer is paralyzing. Unfortunately, the possibility that cancer can hit anyone is very real. I am asking for your help so that every child gets the opportunity to just be a kid and no family need suffer from cancer again.
This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
