I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm 'Shaving for the Brave!'!!! Again!!!!
On March 10th, I'm shaving my head as a symbol of solidarity with children who have cancer & typically lose their hair during treatment. More importantly, I am doing this to help raise critical funds for childhood cancer research!

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease.
I do this as I wish this to honor all of those effected by cancer. As their courage knows no bounds.
This is my second year as a shavee. The first time I participated was a bit scary, as I have never been bald before. And I can only imagine how it must feel for the boys & girls that lose their hair because of their illness & treatment.
It became the most amazing & rewarding experience I have had the privilege to participate in.

I am a NICU nurse, & have taken care of children that are effected by many different problems. Yet there is nothing more profound than taking care of a child stricken with cancer. It is hard to fathom that innocent children should have to fight cancer! Yet they do. Even tiny infants!! I took care of a young baby boy who had ALL, & ultimately lost his battle. I was touched by his spirit, his courage, his story & his amazing family.
In knowing his story & reading the stories of all the honored children, I am humbled, & wish to do something, anything to help. This is where I have chosen to begin.

Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. (As well as their families)....And a better chance for a cure.
Any amount will help make a difference.

Thank you for your support!
