I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear Family and Friends, On March 20th 2010 my cousin Emily, 21 and a newlywed, was rushed to the E.R. with a migraine. The doctors discovered a tumor on the back of Emily’s brain; diagnosing it as a malignant Medulloblastoma. Emily had to undergo multiple surgeries and treatments to remove the cancer. Two years after her diagnosis, and one year after finishing with chemotherapy, Emily is doing well. In honor of Emily I am shaving my head again. On March 24th 2012 I will shave my head to participate in St. Baldrick’s Day. St. Baldrick’s is a foundation that raises funds for childhood cancer research. Volunteers shave their heads in support of those who have lost their hair from chemotherapy. This is where I need your support. A donation to St. Baldrick’s would be greatly appreciated. I will shave my head to raise awareness. However, your donation will help to find cures and miracles. I have enclosed with this letter a donation form with all of the information. The best way to donate is online. You can also donate over the phone, by check, or you could give your donation to me and I will take care of it for you. I also want to invite you to follow my journey on my St. Baldrick website page by going to the following link: http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/504812/2012 Online donations can be made on my website page. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 815-795-4057 or e-mail me at oashley32@yahoo.com. I want to especially ask for your continued prayers for my family and for Emily. Your support and prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you all. Ashley Olson
