I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Brianna's Brigade

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Brianna's Brigade

My niece and goddaughter, Brianna Leigh Sharp, was a charming and beautiful 13 year old with a bright future. Blessed with a tender and compassionate heart, she captivated everyone she met. She brightened our lives.
Brianna was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma on October 5th, 2008. A rare and aggressive brainstem tumor, DIPG has an extremely grim prognosis. Brianna fought a courageous and inspirational battle for nine months. Unfortunately her DIPG followed its typical and seemingly inevitable course and she passed away on July 25th, 2009.
I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment. I'm shaving my head to raise critical funds for childhood cancer research. I shave to honor Brianna and other children stolen from us by childhood cancer. I shave to honor those currently fighting cancer and those, who by the grace of God, have beaten the monster.
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
