I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Garner Fire Rescue

Dear Family and Friends, As many of you know, my sister, Juliana, was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2009. She underwent a bone marrow transplant at UNC Hospital that same year. The recovery was long and hard but today she is healthy and about to graduate from NC State University. So shaving my head for St. Baldrick’s Day to support blood cancer research is gratifying because this research saved my sister’s life. I’m going to have my head shaved at a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event on March 3, 2012 at Napper Tandys in Raleigh. My fundraising goal is $500.00. Please join us if you can. You can give directly online. My homepage is http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/504249/2012 or by phone at 888-899-BALD. Credit cards are the most efficient way to give, or you can write a check payable to “St. Baldrick’s Foundation.” I’ll be collecting pledges! To see a list of my donors, fundraising progress, and “before” and “after” photos, visit my page on the St. Baldrick’s website. Sincerely, Jason Deitch
