I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I have decided to join St. Baldrick's in helping to fight cancer for the first time this year. My grandmother, who is currently suffering from an inoperable brain tumor is my inspiration. She is an incredible woman who has quickly loss her ability to speak or control a majority of her body over the past year. It breaks my heart to see someone I love so much suffer so greatly, but I am reminded of the fact that she was blessed enough to live many years in good health...a luxury many children do not have. There are millions of children in the world currently suffering from cancer who will not live to see many of the events that my grandmother has seen, such as a wedding, let alone a 50th wedding anniversary which was celebrated recently. It breaks my heart to know this, and I want to be one of the people who changes this dreadful fate. Throughout St. Baldrick's I am hoping to raise at least $500 to help put a stop to Childhood Cancer.
