I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: UC Davis Cancer Center

BOLDLY GOING BALD FOR AN IMPORTANT CAUSE!

YES, I am really having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures and raise awareness for this good cause! Having the courage to make this decision pales in comparison to the courage it takes to face the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Although I was initially inspired by a fellow Cancer Center employee who had her head shaved last year, I am going bald to honor all cancer patients - as they are my true inspiration. As a clinical research coordinator at the UC Davis Cancer Center, I have worked with cancer patients and their families as part of their healthcare team. This up close and personal experience has raised my awareness of the importance of the role of research to find better treatments and potential cures for cancers. If shaving my head to raise money for potentially life-saving research can make the difference in the life of just one child, then shave away, barbers! Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U. S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. Although I am asking for your support, I am really asking you to support these kids. Also, please feel free to spread the word to your family, friends, and coworkers by sending them the link to my donation page. Even small donations can make a difference...together, we can all make a difference in the battle against cancer! Thank you so much!
