I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! After an exciting fall season of soccer for the Gray Rhinos, the team that my two oldest sons play on and that I help coach, we learned that one of the boys on our team was diagnosed with stomach cancer. His name is Noah, and he is also in my son's 1st grade class at school. He is greatly missed by his classmates, as evidenced by how often I hear them talk about him and the one time he was able to visit the classroom since his diagnosis. As we approach the spring season of soccer Noah is in the midst of a courageous battle against this terrible disease. I realize I don't have much hair to lose, but it is still an honor to be able to do this for him and for other children affected by cancer. PLEASE make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." Thank you for your support!
