I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Dawson ECEC

Dear Friends,

Each year more than 16,000 children are diagnosed with cancer and 1 in 3 of them will not survive, making childhood cancer the largest single killer of children in the world today. I am proud to say that this year I will once again supporting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in their fight to cure childhood cancer. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation began as a friendly competition between two friends and over the course of the last 11 years has grown into the largest single funder of cancer research in the world, giving more than $25 million dollars for research last year alone. A simple shaved head has opened the door to new research, new treatments and many second chances on life.

This year, for my second year in a row, I will be once again shaving my head in my attempt to fundraise for this wonderful organization and I am asking for your support. Last year, with the help of countless volunteer’s, the generosity of so many parents, and outstanding bravery from some of this schools student’s, we successfully raised more than $89,000! Not bad from a small group of dedicated individuals; however, this year we are aiming much, much higher and we need your help to succeed. Please won’t you help me cure cancer and be a hero for these amazing children?
