This March I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures and to raise awareness to the fact that life is precious. When I was ten years old, my friend Audrey was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, or cancer of the striated muscle. She fought this disease for three years, but unfortunately lost her battle to cancer on May 31, 2007. Audrey was thirteen when she passed away, but she touched the hearts and lives of everybody she came in contact with during her life. She understood what so many of us struggle to realize on a daily basis, that life is precious. By shaving my head I hope that I can help to send this message to everyone around me. Everyday is a gift from God and tomorrow isn't promised to any of us, so live life to the fullest. Tell someone what they mean to you, reach out to that person who seems alone, and always, always remember that your life and the lives of those around you are precious. Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers and help to allow them a chance at living their lives to the fullest. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids.Thank you! Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
