I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

THANK YOU!!! THe Event was awesome - we as a team raised over $11,000!!!! With all your donations I hit $4,000! As many of you know, I have been coaching soccer for many years, over the winter I learned that a little boy on my 6/7 year-old team was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Noah is also in my son's first grade class. We have known Noah's family for a few years and they are a strong family that will get through this very difficult time. As Noah finishes his second round of chemo treatments this spring, the "Gray Rhinos" will play soccer with Noah cheering from the sideline. Noah doesn't want to miss watching his favorite team play soccer nor does he want to miss the "end-of-game" snack. :) My son Ryan misses his buddy Noah at school and anxiously awaits his return to the classroom. The following letter was written by my first grade son. It clearly communicates friendship beyond any illness! "Hi Noah, I hope you feel better soon because I love playing with you. I hope you don't miss soccer because we need you. Our class misses you very much. What games are you playing at home? Love, Ryan" Noah has quickly become part of our family's daily thoughts and prayers. As I asked myself over and over "What can I do to help?" The answer came as part of a challenge from Michael Fiscus, a close friend and commissioner of the Romeo AYSO soccer league. Mike has been involved with St. Baldrick's for a few years and has challenged me to raise more money than him in honor of Noah. Thank you for your support! God Bless you. Kevin Danaj
