Why are we having our heads shaved?
We know our hair will grow back because we are lucky to be healthy. For kids with cancer, some never live long enough for their hair to regrow after treatment, some never stop having treatment. We want to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer. Alessio has had a "brush" with cancer and is forever grateful that he is healthy and he wants to give something to those kids not as fortunate. His scar from surgery is like a smile (see photo gallery) - it reminds us how lucky we are.
So, we are shaving our heads to raise funds for childhood cancer research! The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research. We want to help to give these kids a better chance for a cure.
Please support us on behalf of these very special kids, and click "Make a Donation" above, or donate by mail or phone.
We really thank you for your support!
Donations can be made in USD or HKD (our goal is shown in USD). Remember, all money raised in Hong Kong goes to child cancer patients in Hong Kong.
Don't forget to check out our "domes" after June 11 2011!
