I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'll be shaving my head on Friday for St. Baldrics. Yes, I'll be saying goodbye to these luscious locks but for a good cause. St. Baldrics is a fundraiser for children with cancer. I've always been drawn to taking care of people that really need extra support. Along those lines, pediactric oncology is one of the subspecialties I've been looking into, and children with cancer are definitely a group of people that need someone to fight for them. No child should have to face this fight alone or really at all. I have a long way to go until I'm practicing, but there are things I can do in the mean time to make sure that I'm making a difference. Fundraising for a cure for cancer is one. If anyone is so inclined, I'm looking for donations. Any amount would be appreciated. I don't expect that my actions will have that much of an impact, but I also feel it's important just to fight. Join me in giving cancer a big FU!
