This is my second year of shaving my head to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.
In April 2010 I shaved my head for St. Baldrick's, and kept it shaved until 4 weeks ago when I decided to let my hair grow out for one year and, then, get it shaved again in April 2012. But then I heard about Violet Kate (the daughter of my wife's clients) who is a 1-year-old with Hepatoblastoma, and is under treatment at Duke Childrens Hospital. So I decided not to wait until 2012 to shave my head, but to shave it now in support of this cute-as-a-button little angel. Currently, she has had two chemo treatments and is expected to get four more. One should be coming up the week after our shave on March 19.
Please support me with a donation of any amount to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Donations can be made long after the scheduled event is over. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
