Each year, 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. There is good news, 4 out of 5 children will overcome their cancer (up from 1 out of 2 in 1975). This remarkable fact is due to the cures and treatments developed through research. More can still be done, and that is why I need your help.
Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. I will also make sure your dollar goes further because I will match 50% of your donation! Your gift of $50 means that I will put in an additional $25. Those of you who have companies who will also match your donations, please help out. Please be generous, every dollar helps in this fight against cancer.
Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. If your donation is in memory of someone particular, please let me know so I honor them on the day of the event by adding their name(s) to my shirt.
There are many additional ways you can help fight childhood cancer. Consider adding your name to the marrow donor list. Leukemia is the most common childhood disease, and only 3 out of 10 are able to find a marrow donor. Donation is 100% free and can be started at National Marrow Donor Program.
Thank you!
