I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head in support of my son Aiden. Aiden was diagnosed with an astrocytoma of the brainstem and an optic nerve glioma in 2009. He has had surgery and is now starting chemotherapy. When I first told Aiden he was going to loose his hair he became very worried about being the only one with no hair. I made a promise to him, that day, that I would shave my head when he lost his hair so he would not be the only bald one in the family! I figure if I'm going to shave my head I might as well raise money for a great cause at the same time. I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
