Hello friends
Last year when I signed up to be a shavee on St Baldrick's Day, it was a difficult decision. I had never shaved my head before (well, I am pretty bald anyway!); but more importantly, I had never shaved my beard ever since I joined the novitiate (16 years ago). But it turned out to be an exciting event with the support of all of you (if you don't remember how I looked, have a look at this two minute clip: click on 'View my video' next to my photo). Well, I am emboldened (and embaldened!) by all that encouragement, and have decided to take part in the event again this year. I believe that St Baldrick's is a great idea, and the organizers reach out to so many kids to help them fight cancer. Still we lose many kids every year to cancer. This work of St Baldrick's has to go on. So, I encourage you to contribute to this great cause. Perhaps you have a friend or a relative who fought cancer. Make your contribution in honor of their struggles. I want to dedicate my participation in this event this year to a cousin I lost to cancer of the liver a couple of months ago.

Be well. I wish you peace.
