I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Three years ago, my father was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Today, he is healthy and managing his disease. But many who battle leukemia or other forms of cancer are not so lucky. And many of them are children. That’s why I’m shaving my head for St. Baldrick’s this year.

Cancer is the number one disease killer of children - more than asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes and pediatric AIDS combine. The St. Baldrick's Foundation partners with organizations around the world to fund childhood cancer research.

To support the quest to conquer kids’ cancer, simply click on the ‘Make a Donation’ button to the left. Bermuda residents: if you would like your donation to stay in Bermuda or would like to take advantage of the corporate matching gift program, please donate directly to P.A.L.S. at www.pals.bm/donations.htm.

Monies donated to P.A.L.S. (Patients Assistance League and Services) are used to assist any child on the island who needs financial assistance fighting the disease. P.A.L.S. also funds childhood cancer research grants at the Dana Faber Cancer Institute/Children’s Hospital Boston – which is where most cancer patients from Bermuda (young and old) go for treatment.

US residents, while Ivan is participating in a St Baldrick's event in Bermuda, donating to him will still be a tax deduction for you!

Thank you for your support!

Ivan
