I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Thanks for supporting me in my efforts to fight (childhood) cancer! I know that cancer is something that touches many of our lives and I am happy to be able to use the opportunity created by shaving my head to raise awareness and gather donations in the fight against cancer.
My family has been participating in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for cancer research since for over 10 years. The PMC is a two day bike ride that raises money to support the Jimmy Fund. So when I found out about St. Baldricks I realized that this could be another way to supplement my support for organizations that contribute to the efforts to find treatments and cures for cancer.
I am also hoping to inspire others to shave their heads to show their support to those who are fighting the battle and to their families and friends. It has been an amazing experience for me, I mean who wouldnt love not blow drying their hair every morning!
Any little bit you can donate would be a tremendous help in this fight. Thank you : )
