I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Magellan Charter School

Hi friends! That's right...you heard it...Jake is going bald to kick cancer!! He will be participating in St. Baldrick's - Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids Cander event on March 5th! St. Baldrick's is an organization that raises money to find a cure for childhood cancers in a fun and innovative way. It is fun because lots of people gather to support you as you and the rest of your team have your head shaved . Sounds strange and a bit scary for a child to willingly shave their head, doesn't it? That is the innovative part. Heads are shaved in empathy and solidarity with those who have lost their hair because of chemotherapy treatments. Jake has decided to graduate 8th grade in style and join the team at his school (Magellan Charter) to help raise awareness to the fight against childhood cancers. Please consider supporting Jake and donating to St. Baldrick's! Anything you can give is greatly appreciated! To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. God Bless! Rob, Andrea & Jake Hounshell (8th grade - Magellan Charter School) Thank you for your support!
